Information about the project: Construct 4500sf small arms training and maintenance facility.  The facility features 19 indoor firing stations opening to outdoor ranges. Each firing station has an air curtain to protect the shooter from the brutal cold of interior Alaska winters.  Mechanical systems include hydronic heating from oil-fired boilers, on-site above-ground heating oil storage tank, ventilation systems, and air curtains at the firing stations.  No domestic water or waste systems were installed in the facility. The facility is a steel structure with non-metallic fiberglass stud framing to enhance building envelope thermal efficiency.  Work included contractor-performed design and installing seismic bracing for mechanical systems and equipment.
